Program Notes

 

This piece is inspired by Antonio Canova’s statue, Amore e Psiche and premiered on May 23rd, 2019 at the Italian Embassy in Washington, D.C. where I played the piano part and Caterina Vannucci played the violin part. The first dancers were Aurora Mostacci and Oscar Sanchez of the Washington Ballet.
